The ALMUN Global Awareness Scholarship is a new initiative from Alabama International Relations Club that ​​will reward one ALMUN delegate with a one- time, one thousand dollar scholarship ($1,000) to attend the University of Alabama. This is funded by alumni of the Alabama International Relations Club and is intended to reward those who value international awareness and global citizenship.

Requirements for  the scholarship are as follows:

• Delegate must be a senior in high school
• Delegate must attend ALMUN VIII
  
• ​Recipient must enroll in the University of Alabama (All are welcome to apply even if one is unsure of one's status in regards to attending the University of Alabama.)

• Personal information
  
• High school transcript (an unofficial copy is acceptable)
  
• ​Statement of extracurricular involvement
  
• ​Statement of intent
  
• ​Statement of importance of global awareness

​More details about each statement can be found on the application itself. Once completed, applications can be emailed to almun.usg.comm@gmail.com with the subject "ALMUN Global Awareness Scholarship Application." Applications are due Friday, February 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM CST. No late applications will be accepted. All applicants will be notified of their status by noon on Saturday, February 20. Finalists will next be interviewed at some time between 8 and 9 AM on Sunday, February 21. The recipient will then be announced during closing ceremonies.
