Press Corps

Press Corps is a unique Model United Nations Committee in which students act not as delegates, but as reporters analyzing their actions and decisions. The reporters sit in on various other Model UN committees at the conference and write from the point of view of their news source on the activities of these committees. They may agree, challenge, or modify their positions in short summary reports in every session, and more wholly comment on any issue they see fit in spanning Op-eds. Students also get the opportunity to demonstrate their public speaking skills in the summaries they deliver of their time in-committee. In the Press Corps, students also get the opportunity to experiment with multimedia through written reports, Op-eds, and graphic reports. We welcome budding writers and hope to see a diverse range of reporters at ALMUN XVI.
